“Whose Son is the Christ?” – November 8th, 2023
Dear Church Family, When our son, Dan, began to attend gatherings where fellow pastors also attended, he would write underneath his name which was on his name tag,” Yes, I am Joe Cosentino’s son.” He was heading off the obvious question that people would ask over and over again, “Are you Joe’s son?” Knowing that Dan is my son is not a big deal. Knowing that Jesus is God’s Son is a very big deal. On Sunday we will be looking at Matthew 22:41-46. The title of the message is “Whose Son is the Christ?” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are Proverbs 30:4, Psalm 45:6-7, and John 14:7-9. I trust that you will be blessed by a fresh look at the person of Christ. On Sunday evening we will be looking at the 2024 budget at our Moving Forward Meeting. Dear Church Family, One of the tendencies for each of us is to get swamped by the details, to miss the forest through the trees, and to underappreciate the bottom line. The same can be true in the Christian life. On Sunday morning we will be focusing on the bottom line. The Scripture is Matthew 22:34-40.
