“The Lord’s Marching Orders: Part I” – October 16th, 2024

“The Lord’s Marching Orders: Part I” – October 16th, 2024

Dear Church Family, Many activities and projects require adequate preparation if we are to be successful. We must prepare any surface before we paint the surface. We should prepare ourselves for a busy day with a good night’s rest. It is beneficial if we garner prayer support before an important conversation, as we are about to  make a critical decision, or we face a major surgery. The same can be said about preparing to do the Lord’s work. On Sunday will be looking at Matthew 28:16-18. The title of the message is “The Lord’s Marching Orders: Part I.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are I Chronicles 29:10-14, Psalm 45:10-11, and Colossians 1:16-19. May God prepare and motivate to us to march for Him. God bless you as you are given the fuel to live for Him. Have a blessed day! In His Matchless Grace, Pastor...

“Responding to the Resurrection of Jesus.” – October 2nd, 2024

“Responding to the Resurrection of Jesus.” – October 2nd, 2024

Dear Church Family, I have wanted to say, “you had to be there” numerous times over the years. I refrain since that only means that I didn’t connect with the person or audience and that I can’t hope to do so if I try again. So I just let it go. The same can be said of countless Bible stories. You had to be there to fully appreciate the creation of the universe, the feeding of the 5000, and, yes, the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. On Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 28:1-10. The title of the message is “Responding to the Resurrection of Jesus.” Other verses that will prepare you for the first message in the last chapter of Matthew are Psalm 16:9-10, Luke 24:36-37, and Romans 8:29. May the Lord help us be there even though we weren’t there. May God bless you richly as you walk with the resurrected Christ. Because He Lives, Pastor...

“The Father’s Response to the Death of His Son.” – September 18th, 2024

Dear Church Family, How people respond to us is revealing and part of what makes  who we are and become. Friends, family, teachers, and coaches all have a part in making us into who we are. Few people have more influence in our lives than a father and his response to us. On Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 27:51-53. The title of the message is “The Father’s Response to the Death of His Son.” Other verses that will prepare you for this interesting passage are Job 19:25-26, Isaiah 26:19, and Romans 5:2. May the Lord grant us a sweet time together in His Word. My prayer for you is that you will enjoy His presence today as a foretaste of what it will be like in heaven. May His face shine upon you! Because of Jesus and the Cross, Pastor...

“The Love of God and the Cross of Christ” – September 11th, 2024

“The Love of God and the Cross of Christ” – September 11th, 2024

Dear Church Family, One of the characteristics of God that we don’t think much about is that He is a God who communicates. He is not silent. Throughout the Bible He is communicating to people. We need eyes that can see and ears that can hear. If we have that the spiritual equipment of a genuine believer, we can receive what God is saying. That includes what He communicated while His Son suffered on the cross. On Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 27:45-50. The title of the message is “The Love of God and the Cross of Christ.” Other verses that will prepare you for this interesting time in God’s Word are Isaiah 5:30, Galatians 3:13-14, and Luke 23:46. May the Lord bless our worship and fellowship together. May the Lord provide the guidance, comfort, and instruction that you need as He communicates to you. God bless you and stay close to Jesus. Because of the Cross, Pastor...

“The Crucifixion of Jesus: Part II” – September 4th, 2024

“The Crucifixion of Jesus: Part II” – September 4th, 2024

Dear Church Family, Life isn’t fair. The best team doesn’t always win. The best person doesn’t always get the job. The truth doesn’t always prevail. Good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people. The most unfair event in human history happened long ago. Jesus dying on the cross is the ultimate example of life not being fair. On Sunday morning we will be continuing in our study of the book of Matthew. Our text is Matthew 27:38-44. The title of the message is “The Crucifixion of Jesus: Part 2.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God Word are Psalm 22:6-8, Lamentation 2:15, and I Peter 3:18. May the Lord give us a greater love for Him and His sacrifice on our behalf. This evening at 7:00 pm we restart our Wednesday night ministries. There something for everyone.  On Saturday at 6:00 pm we will enjoy volleyball and a bonfire behind the church parking lot. May the Lord bless these events and Sunday morning as we serve the One who loved us and gave Himself for us. In His Matchless Grace, Pastor...

“Making Fun of Jesus” – August 14th, 2024

“Making Fun of Jesus” – August 14th, 2024

Dear Church Family, Nobody likes it when people make fun of them. Nobody likes to be insulted. Nobody likes to be ridiculed. Nobody likes to be mocked. It’s especially frustrating when we are innocent and have done nothing to trigger the deluge of daggers. That was the prelude to our Lord’s death on the cross. On Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 27:27-31. The title of the message is “Making Fun of Jesus.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are Psalm 35:15-16,  Matthew 20:18-19, and Romans 14:11-12. May God bless our time in this holy portion of His Word. May your heat be filled with joy and awe as you reflect on what Jesus went through for you. God bless you and stay close to Jesus! All for Jesus, Pastor...
