“How to Ask God for Help” – March 22nd, 2023

“How to Ask God for Help” – March 22nd, 2023

Dear Church Family, I am the stereotypical guy in many respects. Before there were modern day means to find a destination, I hated to ask anyone to help me find a place when I was lost. I guess it is the deep-seated aversion to seek help that men especially find difficult. I always swallowed my pride eventually and we arrived safely but not without a few laughs at my expense. On Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 17:14-21. The title of the message is “How to Ask God for Help.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s word are Psalm 62:1-2, Psalm 88:1-3, and Acts 4:24-31. May the Lord exalt His name and word on Sunday morning. May you sense the depth of your need and call upon the One who answers the cry of His people, Have a great day! In His Matchless grace,  Pastor...

“When God Doesn’t Make Sense” – March 15th, 2023

“When God Doesn’t Make Sense” – March 15th, 2023

Dear Church Family, Who doesn’t enjoy figuring something out? It must be part of human nature, something that God planted deep inside of us. Yet God loves to hide what He is doing as well. Proverbs 25:2 says, “ It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter.” This is a major reason why God does not always make sense. On Sunday we will be studying Matthew 17:9-13. The title of the message is “When God Doesn’t Make Sense.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in His word are Deuteronomy 29:29, Malachi 4:5-6, and Luke 24:18-26. I pray that you are encouraged by Sunday’s message. The contemporary service will also celebrate the baptism of 2 people as part of the worship service. May God bless you as you walk by faith following Him. In His Matchless Grace, Pastor...

“Elements of Genuine Discipleship” – February 22nd, 2023

“Elements of Genuine Discipleship” – February 22nd, 2023

Dear Church Family, One of the challenges of living more than 1900 years after the last book of the Bible was written is that can be difficult to know how the good book applies to situations that present themselves to us today. Some verses are easy to apply. It’s always wrong to lie. Other situations seem far removed from the words of Scripture. When in doubt, we can look at what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. Those principles always apply and give direction to our lives. On Sunday we will be looking at Matthew 16:24-27. The title of the message is “Elements of Genuine Discipleship.” Other verses that will help prepare you for the message are Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, Matthew 10:24-25, and Luke 6:46. May the Lord meet us and bless our time together. May your role as the Lord’s disciple guide all that you do. Have a blessed day. See you on Sunday! Because of Jesus, Pastor...

“Struggling With the Will of God” – February 15th, 2023

“Struggling With the Will of God” – February 15th, 2023

Dear Church Family, I guess we all want what we want. It’s natural but not always wholesome, godly, or good. It’s especially wrong when our will conflicts with God’s will in our lives. On Sunday we will be studying Matthew 16:21-23. The title of the message is “Struggling With the Will of God.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s word are I Chronicles 21:1-2, Isaiah 55:5-9, and Colossians 3:1-2. It’s a wonderful dynamic to be submissive to the will of God. Have a blessed day as you submit your will to the One who loves you, wants to use you, and knows what is best for you. In His Matchless Grace, Pastor...
