“Bursting the Bubble of Miracle Seekers” – August 24th, 2022

“Bursting the Bubble of Miracle Seekers” – August 24th, 2022

Dear Church Family, The American culture is full of thrill seekers. We seem to love the feeling of feeling great. I guess there is nothing inherently wrong with seeking a thrill except that the feeling wears off pretty quickly and we can waste a good bit of time conjuring up the next event that will fill us with excitement. Jesus didn’t place much weight in thrill seekers. On Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 12:38-42.The title of the message is “Bursting the Bubble of Miracle Seekers.” Other verses that will prepare you for the morning message are  I Kings 10:1-9, Luke 16:27-31, and John 4:46-48. I trust that you will be spiritually satisfied after we worship together on Sunday. May the Lord bless you during the day to day routines in life that can be less than thrilling. Have a wonderful day! In His Matchless Grace, Pastor...

“The Importance of Words” – August 17th, 2022

“The Importance of Words” – August 17th, 2022

Dear Church Family, Words. Every day we are exposed to and hear a plethora of words. Some are critical. Some are encouraging. Some are true. Some are false. Some words illuminate. Some words darken. All words have one thing in common. They will be evaluated by God. On Sunday morning we will be studying Matthew 12:33-37. The title of the message is “The Importance of Words.” Other verses that will prepare you for this significant message are Proverbs 12:25, Proverbs 15:28, and James 3:3-10. I am looking forward to sharing these timeless truths on Sunday morning. May the words of your mouth and the meditations of you heart be acceptable in His sight. Have a blessed day! Because of Jesus, Pastor...

“Blaspheming the Holy Spirit” – August 11th, 2022

“Blaspheming the Holy Spirit” – August 11th, 2022

Dear Church Family, We all have experienced life’s pain. We have all had others make fun of us, not take us seriously, ignore us, leave us, and unfairly judge us. For me the most painful experience is for someone to slander me. When God is slandered, there is a special word that the Bible uses, blasphemy. On Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 12:22-32. The title of the message is “Blaspheming the Holy Spirit.” Other verses that will prepare you for Sunday’s message are Joshua 24:15, Hebrews 2:2-4, and Hebrews 6:1-8. I am looking forward to getting my scalpel out to carefully explain this widely misunderstood passage. On Sunday evening we will enjoy testimonies from our youth to hear how they were impacted by youth conference and from Joe Carafelli who recently returned from a missions trip to Columbia. Ice cream will follow. It should be a great day. Until then, God bless you and have a wonderful day! Glorifying the King of Kings, Pastor...

“The Model Servant: Part II” – July 27th, 2022

“The Model Servant: Part II” – July 27th, 2022

Dear Church Family, I’m confident that all of us are aware of the inborn bent towards wanting to receive what we want. A newborn baby is considered to be a “good baby” if it sleeps through the night, quietly nurses, and smiles on cue. We prefer a baby to not express its will because vehemence, impatience, and willfulness are put on full display. No one has teach the newborn to behave in this fashion. That’s what makes serving others so refreshing and unique. On Sunday morning we will be examining Matthew 12:18-21. The title of the message is “The Model Servant: Part II.” Other verses that are relevant to the message are Isaiah 66:2, John 3:34, and I Corinthians 15:58. May the Lord bless our time in His precious Word. Have a blessed day as you serve Him by serving others. In His Matchless Grace, Pastor...

“The Model Servant: Part I” – July 20th, 2022

Dear Church Family Who doesn’t love to be served? I love when my wife cooks for me. I enjoy when someone sets up chairs for an event instead of me. I appreciate someone who helps me on the computer or with other skills that don’t come naturally to me. Yes, I love to be served. God loves it when we serve as well. On Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 12:15-18. The sermon title is “The Model Servant: Part I.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s word are Isaiah 42:1-3, Acts 10:38, and Romans 12:10-11. I am excited to be together on Sunday morning. Rob and Nicole Plaster, our missionaries to France, will teach a combined adult Sunday School class at 10:00 am in the sanctuary and be with us for the 12:15 picnic after the second service. It should be a great day! Until then, God bless you as you serve Jesus! Because of Jesus, Pastor...

“An Invitation From Jesus” – June 8th, 2022

“An Invitation From Jesus” – June 8th, 2022

Dear Church Family, We all enjoy receiving an invitation from others. An invitation communicates that we are liked, valued, and appreciated. An invitation to a wedding, birthday, or anniversary lets us know that someone wants us to be part of their celebration. It’s hard not to feel good about an invitation. On Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 11:25-30. The title of the message is “An Invitation From Jesus.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s word are Isaiah 45:22, Ephesians 1:11, and Hebrews 4:1-3. I trust and pray that you will find our time in God’s word useful and edifying. May the Lord work within you that which is well pleasing in His sight. God bless you and enjoy Jesus! In His Matchless Grace, Pastor...
