“The Model Servant: Part II” – July 27th, 2022

“The Model Servant: Part II” – July 27th, 2022

Dear Church Family, I’m confident that all of us are aware of the inborn bent towards wanting to receive what we want. A newborn baby is considered to be a “good baby” if it sleeps through the night, quietly nurses, and smiles on cue. We prefer a baby to not express its will because vehemence, impatience, and willfulness are put on full display. No one has teach the newborn to behave in this fashion. That’s what makes serving others so refreshing and unique. On Sunday morning we will be examining Matthew 12:18-21. The title of the message is “The Model Servant: Part II.” Other verses that are relevant to the message are Isaiah 66:2, John 3:34, and I Corinthians 15:58. May the Lord bless our time in His precious Word. Have a blessed day as you serve Him by serving others. In His Matchless Grace, Pastor...

“The Model Servant: Part I” – July 20th, 2022

“The Model Servant: Part I” – July 20th, 2022

Dear Church Family Who doesn’t love to be served? I love when my wife cooks for me. I enjoy when someone sets up chairs for an event instead of me. I appreciate someone who helps me on the computer or with other skills that don’t come naturally to me. Yes, I love to be served. God loves it when we serve as well. On Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 12:15-18. The sermon title is “The Model Servant: Part I.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s word are Isaiah 42:1-3, Acts 10:38, and Romans 12:10-11. I am excited to be together on Sunday morning. Rob and Nicole Plaster, our missionaries to France, will teach a combined adult Sunday School class at 10:00 am in the sanctuary and be with us for the 12:15 picnic after the second service. It should be a great day! Until then, God bless you as you serve Jesus! Because of Jesus, Pastor...

“An Invitation From Jesus” – June 8th, 2022

“An Invitation From Jesus” – June 8th, 2022

Dear Church Family, We all enjoy receiving an invitation from others. An invitation communicates that we are liked, valued, and appreciated. An invitation to a wedding, birthday, or anniversary lets us know that someone wants us to be part of their celebration. It’s hard not to feel good about an invitation. On Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 11:25-30. The title of the message is “An Invitation From Jesus.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s word are Isaiah 45:22, Ephesians 1:11, and Hebrews 4:1-3. I trust and pray that you will find our time in God’s word useful and edifying. May the Lord work within you that which is well pleasing in His sight. God bless you and enjoy Jesus! In His Matchless Grace, Pastor...

“The Sin of Indifference” – June 1, 2022

“The Sin of Indifference” – June 1, 2022

Dear Church Family, When it comes to the Lord we can have one of three attitudes. We can be hot, cold, or lukewarm. I would think that God would prefer someone to be lukewarm rather than cold towards Him. I also would be wrong. On Sunday morning we will be enjoying another week in the gospel of Matthew. Our passage is Matthew 11:20-24. The title of the sermon is “The Sin of Indifference.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in His word are Genesis 19:23-25, Matthew 23:14-15, and Revelation 3:14-16. I am looking forward to sharing truths from this startling text. May you love the Lord your God with all of your heart, all of your soul, all of your might, and all of your strength. Have a glorious day In Jesus! For His glory, Pastor...

“Rejecting Christ and His Servants” – May 25th, 2022

“Rejecting Christ and His Servants” – May 25th, 2022

Dear Church Family, Nobody likes rejection. The dictionary defines rejection as “ The act of not accepting, believing, or considering something.” When our ideas or opinions are vehemently rejected, we feel spurned as well. There are few causes that are as noble than to be rejected for the One who could write a book on rejection, the Lord Jesus. On Sunday morning we will be studying Matthew 11:16-19. The title of the message is “Rejecting Christ and His Servants.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s word are Psalm 22:6-8, Isaiah 49:7, and Isaiah 53:1-3. I’m looking forward to sharing insights from this entertaining text with you. May you enjoy your Memorial Day weekend and have a blessed day! In His Matchless Grace, Pastor...

“True Greatness: Part 2″ – May 18th, 2022

“True Greatness: Part 2″ – May 18th, 2022

Dear Church Family, I occasionally run across a list of the best of 5 presidents in our nation’s history. That list will be very similar to another person’s list of the 5 worst presidents in our nation’s history. There is little agreement on what makes a great president let alone who meets the predetermined criteria. True greatness is difficult to define and equally difficult to evaluate. On Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 11:11-15. The title of the message is “True Greatness: Part 2.”  Other verses that will assist in preparing you for our time in God’s word are John 6:27, Acts 16:29-31, and Colossians 1:27-29. Let’s pray that God gives us a glimpse of His greatness this Sunday morning. May each of us see greatness as God does and encourage one another in living for Jesus. Have a wonderful day! Because Of Jesus, Pastor...
