“Giving with the Right Heart” – April 15th, 2021

“Giving with the Right Heart” – April 15th, 2021

Dear Church Family, The motives behind any action are important. We can receive a gift from someone that is motivated because they are grateful for something we have done for them or because they are buttering us up for a new request. We can go on vacation because we need some rest or because we can’t wait to get away from someone in our life. The possibilities are endless. In short, motives do matter. On Sunday morning  we will be studying Matthew 6:1-4. The title of the message is “Giving with the Right Heart.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s word are I Corinthians 3:11-15, Galatians 1:10, and Ecclesiastes 12:13-14. I am looking forward to sharing the mind of God with you on Sunday morning. May His face shine brightly upon you for the remainder of this week. Have a wonderful day in Jesus! Because of Him, Pastor...

“Love your Enemy” – April 7th, 2021

Dear Church Family, God’s word has a way of showing us how short we fall of perfection. Jesus seems to specialize in this matter. Few statements illustrate how adept He is at shining the light on our imperfections than the command, “love your enemies.” On Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 5:43-48. The title of the message is “ Love your Enemy.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in the word of God are Galatians 5:13, Proverbs 24:28-29, and Proverbs 25:21-22. I am sure that we will all be challenged and encouraged by our time together. May you enjoy the Lord’s good Hand as His sun shines on you today. God bless you and have a wonderful day! “An Eye for an Eye” – March 10th, 2021

“An Eye for an Eye” – March 10th, 2021

Dear Church Family, “Looking Out for Number One” was a popular book when I was a very young adult. In fact, I was in the process of reading that book when I gave me life to Jesus. My interest in the Bible skyrocketed and my interest in “Looking Out for Number One” plummeted. I never did finish reading that book. It’s a good thing because it is diametrically opposed to the clear teachings of the Lord Jesus. On Sunday we will be looking at a classic text. The passage is Matthew 5:38-39. The sermon title is “ An Eye for an Eye.” Other verses that will prepare you for out time in God’s Word are Leviticus 19:17-18, Proverbs 20:22, and Romans 12:17-19. As always, I can’t wait to be with you to worship the One who is worthy. May God make you more like the One who gave Himself for you. God bless you and have a wonderful day. In His Matchless Grace, Pastor...

“I Swear to God” – March 3rd, 2021

“I Swear to God” – March 3rd, 2021

Dear Church family, There were sayings that did not make sense to me as a child and young person growing up. One of them was “cross my heart, hope to die.” That was a common phrase used to communicate that I am absolutely telling the truth. I always thought, “ who really is hoping to die and why would anyone have that desire?” Telling the truth is extremely important and it is easy to miss the boat on that front. On Sunday we will be looking at Matthew 5:33-37. Our message title is “I Swear to God.” Other verses that will prepare you for the time in God’s word are James 5:12, Acts 2:30, and Genesis 47:29-31. May the Lord bless our time together on Sunday morning. May the Lord fill you with His truth as you speak truth to others. God bless you and keep your eyes on Jesus! In His Matchless Grace, Pastor...
