“What Motivates God’s People to Give?” – January 31st, 2019

“What Motivates God’s People to Give?” – January 31st, 2019

Dear Church Family, We have enjoyed having our granddaughter with us for the past 10 days. It has been a great deal of fun and has increased our flexibility. It has also been a refresher course on what motivates a three year old. A motivated child is a happy child. So too we are happier as adults when we are properly motivated to perform any task. This Sunday morning will be examining 2 Corinthians 8:8-11. The title of the message is “What Motivates God’s People to Give?” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are Philippians 2:6-8, I Timothy 6:17-19, and I Corinthians 16:1-3. It should be warm outside and warm in the sanctuary as we worship God together. Both the adults and youth have Super Bowl gatherings on Sunday evening. It should be a wonderful day together. Until then, stay motivated to live for Jesus! For His Sake, Pastor...

“Giving that Pleases God” – January 23rd, 2019

“Giving that Pleases God” – January 23rd, 2019

Dear Church Family,      Biblical Christianity is the only belief system that is a heart driven faith. Everything is from the inside out. All of life begins from the heart which leads to the proper actions, speech, and priorities. This is true of every aspect of the Christian life, including giving to the Lord.     On Sunday morning we will be examining 2 Corinthians 8:1-5. The message title Is “Giving that Pleases God.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are Proverbs 4:23, Exodus 35:4-9, and Exodus 36:2-6. I am looking forward to being together again this Sunday morning.      On Sunday we will also enjoy a time of food and fellowship as we enjoy soup for lunch in the fellowship hall. What a great way to celebrate the Lord on a cold Sunday! Until then, keep your eyes on the Lord Jesus. In His Grace, Pastor...

“Bringing Joy to a Pastor’s Heart” – January 16th, 2019

Dear Church Family, It is a privilege to bring joy to another person’s heart. We can do that in a number of ways. The remarkable thing is that we receive as much joy as the other person. It is one of the Lord’s ways to motivate us to be a source of joy to others. This Sunday morning we will be looking closely at 2 Corinthians 7:13-16. The message title is “ Bringing Joy to a Pastor’s Heart.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are Philippians 1:3-5, I Thessalonians 2:7-8, and 2 John 12-13 Weather permitting we will enjoy worshipping and fellowshipping together on Sunday morning. May you have the joy of bringing joy to another today. God bless you and stay close to Jesus! In His Matchless Grace, Pastor...

“True Repentance” – January 9th, 2019

Dear Church Family, Change is something that we don’t always embrace. However, there is one type of change that any follower of the Lord Jesus Christ should always welcome. That is the change that we call “repentance.” Whether we genuinely repent or someone else genuinely repents, repentance is a wonderful thing. On Sunday morning we will be looking at 2 Corinthians 7:8-12. The message title is “ True Repentance.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are Psalm 51:1-3, Acts 20:20-21, and 2 Timothy 2:24-26. May the Lord bless both services as we seek to worship Him. May the Lord keep you on track as you live each day for Him. God bless you and have a wonderful day! In His Matchless Grace, Pastor...

“The Qualities of People God Uses” – January 2nd, 2019

“The Qualities of People God Uses” – January 2nd, 2019

Dear Church Family, One of the longings in the heart of a genuine follower of the Lord Jesus Christ is that he or she desires to be used by the Lord. Gratitude fills the heart of a genuine disciple of Jesus. This leads to wanting to give oneself to be His servant who effectively extends and strengthens His kingdom. This week we will be looking at Matthew 4:18-22 in the contemporary service. The message title is “The Qualities of People God Uses.” Other verses that will prepare our second service attendees for our time in God’s Word are Hebrews 4:5, Isaiah 6:6-7, and Matthew 26:69-75. I am sure that you will be encouraged by our time in God’s Word. In the traditional  service we will be enjoying a message from Israel’s Hope missionary, Bill Aiken. Don’t forget that Wednesday night ministries start back up for everyone tonight.  I hope to see you soon. God bless you and have a great day!  In His Matchless Grace, Pastor...

“The Baby Who Fulfilled Prophecy” – December 19th, 2018

“The Baby Who Fulfilled Prophecy” – December 19th, 2018

Dear Church Family, The Christmas story tends to be sanitized. There certainly are holy and pristine moments. The angelic host, the shepherds, and the wise men all come to mind. Much of the rest of the Christmas story is not so comfortable to talk about let alone study. Even in the midst of the hard and ugly parts of the Christmas story the goodness and sovereignty of God shines brightly. This Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 2:13-23. The title of the Christmas message is “ The Baby Who Fulfilled Prophecy.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are John 10:35, Isaiah 46:9-10, and Genesis 50:19-21. I am looking forward to worshipping the newborn King with you on Sunday morning. On Sunday evening we will be enjoying a Christmas Cantata , “ The First Noel: Born is the King.” It should be a wonderful day. Until then, may you rest in the goodness and sovereignty of God. Because of Jesus, Pastor...
