“True Repentance” – January 9th, 2019

“True Repentance” – January 9th, 2019

Dear Church Family, Change is something that we don’t always embrace. However, there is one type of change that any follower of the Lord Jesus Christ should always welcome. That is the change that we call “repentance.” Whether we genuinely repent or someone else genuinely repents, repentance is a wonderful thing. On Sunday morning we will be looking at 2 Corinthians 7:8-12. The message title is “ True Repentance.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are Psalm 51:1-3, Acts 20:20-21, and 2 Timothy 2:24-26. May the Lord bless both services as we seek to worship Him. May the Lord keep you on track as you live each day for Him. God bless you and have a wonderful day! In His Matchless Grace, Pastor...

“The Qualities of People God Uses” – January 2nd, 2019

“The Qualities of People God Uses” – January 2nd, 2019

Dear Church Family, One of the longings in the heart of a genuine follower of the Lord Jesus Christ is that he or she desires to be used by the Lord. Gratitude fills the heart of a genuine disciple of Jesus. This leads to wanting to give oneself to be His servant who effectively extends and strengthens His kingdom. This week we will be looking at Matthew 4:18-22 in the contemporary service. The message title is “The Qualities of People God Uses.” Other verses that will prepare our second service attendees for our time in God’s Word are Hebrews 4:5, Isaiah 6:6-7, and Matthew 26:69-75. I am sure that you will be encouraged by our time in God’s Word. In the traditional  service we will be enjoying a message from Israel’s Hope missionary, Bill Aiken. Don’t forget that Wednesday night ministries start back up for everyone tonight.  I hope to see you soon. God bless you and have a great day!  In His Matchless Grace, Pastor...

“The Baby Who Fulfilled Prophecy” – December 19th, 2018

“The Baby Who Fulfilled Prophecy” – December 19th, 2018

Dear Church Family, The Christmas story tends to be sanitized. There certainly are holy and pristine moments. The angelic host, the shepherds, and the wise men all come to mind. Much of the rest of the Christmas story is not so comfortable to talk about let alone study. Even in the midst of the hard and ugly parts of the Christmas story the goodness and sovereignty of God shines brightly. This Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 2:13-23. The title of the Christmas message is “ The Baby Who Fulfilled Prophecy.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are John 10:35, Isaiah 46:9-10, and Genesis 50:19-21. I am looking forward to worshipping the newborn King with you on Sunday morning. On Sunday evening we will be enjoying a Christmas Cantata , “ The First Noel: Born is the King.” It should be a wonderful day. Until then, may you rest in the goodness and sovereignty of God. Because of Jesus, Pastor...

“Opening Another’s Closed Heart” – November 29th, 2018

“Opening Another’s Closed Heart” – November 29th, 2018

Dear Church Family, Relationships can be rewarding and difficult. Years ago a teacher once was given this advice regarding how to deal with a problem relationship, “ This best advice that I can give you is to move towards your problem.” Though not easy to apply, that usually is very good counsel. What do we do when someone has closed their heart and affections towards us? On Sunday morning we will be looking at 2 Corinthians 7:2-4. The message title is “ Opening Another’s Closed Heart.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are Philippians 1:7-8, 2 Corinthians 7:14, and I Samuel 12:1-5. May the good Lord bless our time of worship together. This Saturday from 1:00 to 4:00 Melinda and I invite the entire church family to our Christmas open house. We would love to have you stop in to our home. Until this weekend, may you stay open to others and especially the Lord Jesus Christ. Because of Him, Pastor...
