Dear Church Family, The first order of business when dealing with any opposition is to answer these two questions,” who is my opponent and what is his or her strategy?” Answering these two questions is invaluable whether we are in a political, media, or business environment. We need to know who is hindering us and then what he or she is doing to defeat us and our purposes. The same is true in the Christian life. We have an enemy who must be identified and his strategies which must be understood. This Sunday we will be looking at Ephesians 6:10-13.  Dear Church Family, Over the past 10 days I have had the privilege of seeing 4 men that I know secure new jobs. The 4 men are all delighted with their new opportunities and the future that they hold. I am glad for each of them since all 4 positions seem to be a good fit. However, I also know that each one of them will be faced with the challenges that working always brings. This Sunday morning we will be examining Ephesians 6:5-9. Dear Church Family, The word “nutshell” is not used as often as it once was. The dictionary defines nutshell in this way, “ concisely, in a few words, as in here is our proposal in a nutshell.” It is one thing to concisely summarize a proposal, but it is another thing altogether to summarize the roles of a husband and wife in a successful marriage. That, however, is what the apostle Paul successfully accomplished. On Sunday morning we will be examining Ephesians 5:30-33. Dear Church Family, Successful businesses, sports teams, movies, and community groups all have people who know what their role is and each person  plays their role well. There is nothing obscure. Everyone knows what they are expected to do and do it with excellence if the group at large is to succeed. Why would this be any different in the family?
